I liked both trades. But there's only one issue with your armchair. We have no depth in our D. If Pens loses any of our d-men, we surely be screwed. Corrado is an AHL player. He's not good enough to play consistently in NHL. You'd have to find a way to trade for another d-man who can play in NHL to replace Cole.

Oleksiak is worth way more than that.
PIckard is better than you think apparently.

The problem with that trade is Pens is a transitional team and Oleksiak is too big and a slow d-man. You have to find a d-man more mobile who could help our PK too. That'd be the ideal replacer to Cole.

But Oleksiak is not the right guy for Pens. I agree that Pickard worths more than that. I don't think Leafs would accept that trade either. But from a Pens fan perspective, I liked it.

We could add a Rosen/Carrick if you guys throw in another piece, although neither really PK, they are mobile.

As for the OP, I don't like the idea of giving up Pickard. I'd rather trade McBackup.
