ROR is way more valuable than Rask, Sabres wouldnt be sending a pick back and CAR would have to throw in Bean or Hanafin.

Sort of, i mean the main piece should be a d, this wouldnt work value wise or system wise for buffalo.

Guys calm down. You're saving 3.5 mill and 1 yr less of term, on a 3 yr younger Rask. He might be having an off year but so is ROR. You're also weak on RD prospects, Mckewon blows all BUFs RD prospects into smithereens.

I just don't see in what reality Hanifin is worth ROR, if GMRF wouldn't trade him Duchene, he certainly isnt trading him for ROR, could get much more for him. ROR makes too much sense for the Canes and BUF and while I don't think they will bite for Rask + McKeown there is a deal to be had here somewhere. Hanifin isnt leaving the Canes though, Faulk is way more likely to go.

Agree, but on paper he is worth ROR. It's just that Hanifin is too valuable to the Canes. If he was traded for ROR or Duchene it would be a sideways move, they adressed a weakness by weakening somewhere else. That also applies for Faulk.

ROR's off year hes still top of the league in face off percentage and statistically far better than Rask's off year. Just cause theyll listen to offers on ROR doesnt mean he's on the block. They dont need to sell low. Id also take Nelson over McKeown any day. Not to mention Borgen and Fitzgerald. The Sabres arent worried about money. The deal isnt close.

Nelson, Borgen and Fitzgerald? You're trolling. Not saying theyre bad but Mckewon is better IMO, and his age is a definite edge on Nelson

Why? you don't need another young defenseman. That would also make this more of a lateral move than anything else. That would also make the trade unfair.

The fact that there's no guarantee Kane is resigning makes it unfair. ROR isnt worth all that. Bean has the highest ceiling among all D in CAR, even Hanifin, according to reports. And a 1st?! I haven't read anything about Guhle that is as hyped as Bean. Not saying he's crap. But you guys will be fine with Hanifin, Bean, Antipin and Beaulieu on LD. BUF won't miss Guhle that much, considering they might even win the draft lottery and snatch Dahlin. And Either way, like I mentioned on another post above, giving up Hanifin for ROR doesn't improve their chances for making a run this year. Perhaps Bean and a 1st is doable, but forget Hanifin. Dude I'm not even a Canes fan I'm a Habs fan, and giving up Hanifin defies logic for the Canes who are on the verge of breaking out. All theyre missing is decent center like ROR

I'll reserve judgement for Borgen when he gets to the pros, he's putting up decent numbers THIS year but all reports say that he'll probably never be a 1st unit PP player and best case scenario 2nd pairing D.
