I always thought Draisaitl would never be traded but the he's playing hardly getting a point a game. But for now I say Yes

Schultz was forced out by the media and fanbase and was left with 0 confidence or value. Yakupov, lets face it is a bust. Barzal trade was forced on by higher up management and the Oilers wouldn’t have drafted him. Currently Lucic, for how much he is paid is a fair deal, definitely not 4 years from now but now yes. Larsson for Hall was asset value for asset value. RD have 3x more value than a LW but y’know don’t bring up how he rob NY for Talbot, got Benning for free, Letestu, Russell (who is having a good season), Maroon, Kassian, Deharnais or others.

I would say yes for Drai + Nurse for Patch, Lindgren and 1st ... Patch will cost at least 6.5M in one year ..

MTL fans:

-Juulsen is a RHD dman. We already have Petry and Weber (and Benn) for the forseeable future. We can afford to lose him.
-Lindgren will never be a starter in MTL as long as Price is here. Even as a back up, there's only so much value we can squeeze out of him as one.
-As long as the 1st is lottery protected which means we won't lose a potential stud like Dahlin if the Habs somehow won the lottery. More than likely it'll be another McCarron, Juulsen or Scherbak...
-Pacioretty was underpaid this contract so he will get a nice raise in the next contract. Doing this trade means we swap a solid winger for a solid center which the Habs absolutely need.
-Slepyshev is just gravy.


Without being greedy and realizing what value is, MTL should and probably would make this trade. EDM has depth at center, they can afford to lose Draisaitl, just like the Habs have depth on the wing.
