Rebuild Starts Now

Description
I like seeing what teams could get if they wanted to tank a season away. Philly's having just a miserable stretch this year: it's to the point where there's no hope of gaining ground in the Metro. Values may be off but I think they're close; I'm starting to get the hang of this I think.

If the Flyers rebuild they will try and trade Voracek and Giroux before Couturier

In a perfect world sure, but I don't see 8+ million with term attached as being tradable right now.

Ok true, sorry I will rephrase that. I would not think the flyers will trade Couturier unless they are completely over compensated

The problem is that the teams in a win now mode won’t have the cap space for Voracek or Giroux. I’d love for the Blues to have either one but I can’t see how it could fit under the cap.

I’d rather have Giroux if he went back to playing Center. There’s always day dreaming.

That might be the worst trade of Coots on this site. Come on man. Basically two replacement level players for a very underrated center. Not a fan of the Simmer deal either. i'd rather have quality over quantity.

Dear god, that Coots trade is horrible. He's nearly a PPG, one of the top-10 two-way centers in the league, for two inconsistent wingers? No thanks.

The Wild just aren't good enough to make that trade this season. Simmonds doesn't make them contenders, just gives them a better chance of being a WC team.

The value in the Montreal trade is good but we don't really need yet another defense-first centre.
