Also, while North Americans can get a pass for anglicized pronunciations, some native Europeans butcher their own names.
Ondrej Pavelec = "Pavelets". And if you want to get really technical, his first name should be pronounced something like "OHN-jay". The pronunciation of ř is tough to master.
Zdeno Chara = "Hara". It's the same "ch" sound you'll find in Scottish and Hebrew.
