Without a raise in the cap, I highly doubt you can afford these contracts. You're at 21 and almost 2 million over now.

EDM needs upgrades in net and on defense. Lets do something around Price, Pacioretty & Weber for Draisaitl, Nurse & Talbot. Decorate it with draft picks any which way you want.

EDM goes in "win now" mode with a few veterans. MTL goes into a rebuild/retool session. They get their #1 center, another young d-man to add to the group, and a goalie that can tandem with Lindgren as he takes over a #1 role.

you are not counting the potential almost 6m in performance bonuses either. this team needs to dump some cap

Doubt if Nurse and Nurse can be signed for so little. And as ChiHawks pointed out, hardly anybody (especially in Leafs post) do the performance bonus carryover.

Most Oiler fans agree that if Maroon wants more than $3M AAV or more than 3 years, then let him walk... The guy is next to irrelevant out there if not on Connors wing, and even then he puts in like 1 in every 6 chances. Not a chance he's getting $5M from the oilers, but I guess you never know if Chia.
