Jagr is done. Sharp is done. Hawks don't need players that are on their last hurrah.

The Blackhawks need to get younger, not older. Speed and skill are the future of the NHL. Jagr is a novelty signing at this point, not a move for a team trying to be a Stanley Cup contender to make. This is Patrick Sharp's last year as a Blackhawk whether he likes it or not. It's too bad because he deserves to play until he wants to stop. I was hoping to see him come back with a resurgent year this season and get to 300 career goals and 1000 regular season games with another 1 year deal next season, but he's dragging the Blackhawks down this season. He's slow and not scoring, not good signs.

Most think the cap will go up to 80M next season, which would be great.
Wasting $5M on cap space on Jagr & Sharp isn't the best idea I've seen, even if the cap does go up to $80M.

Jagr's next stop is probably either working with a team as a fitness consultant or teaching youth type hockey clinics. I can't see him not doing something related to hockey.

Sharp is done after this season.
Jagr wll still continue to produce but the hawks don't need him. He also said this is his last NHL season. He will probably continue to play in the KHL or for the team he owns over in Europe.
Andreas Martinsen is not an NHL player.
Kempny won't sign for 3 years with a team he has consistently been a health scratch on.
Ryan Hartman won't sign a 3 year $1M contract. He will get more.
For some crazy reason you don;t resign the Hawks second best D-man this year. Rutta will certainly be resigned by the Hawks.
