New Feature: Notifications

You may have noticed, that when logged in, there is a new icon in the header.

This is your notification center. Currently notifications are on by default when a post is liked or quoted.

You can go to your notification page here: www.capfriendly.com/notifications

you can toggle off these notifications here: www.capfriendly.com/notifications/settings

Very handy...love the idea. Is there a way to get them sent to your phone through another app, such as Twitter, so you can see when you are quoted or liked?

If not, it's still very useful and a great addition!

Currently it is in-site only, but we will consider options for extension, possibly text or email, twitter is unlikely, though

Text would be my preferred method, but anything would be a further enhancement to this great addition.

Can we get notifications for posts in our Armchair GM teams even if it isn't a direct response to one of our posts?
I only seem to get them when I'm directly quoted. If it quotes someone else, I don't get a notification.
Is this an error, or intentional? (Or is it just something I'm doing wrong?)

I love it. It makes it much quicker for me to see when people hate what I've done, which seems to happen rather often Confused

The ability to "Follow" a thread is planned, but hasn't been introduced yet. That would permit you to receive notifications for any reply to a thread

No, inputting the user name only will not work, it needs the specific post identifier included.

the only way to do it is to just copy the quote into a different thread
