I was listening to a talk show on XM radio today and they were discussing who would you put on a Mount Rushmore for the NBA?

To build off that idea, what four hockey players, coaches, owners, etc. would you consider for a Mount Rushmore?

Andy would probably just lose out to Esposito.

I'd personally throw Ed Snider in there over Bill Barber.

Seems mildly inappropriate for a sports discussion, especially when one is stating their own opinion.

Kolzig took our team to a Cup Final in ‘98. Holtby is about to take Kolzig’s spot as the greatest goalie in team history, but for now it’s Kolzig.

Don’t try and tell me about my team when you don’t know a damn thing about the league outside of the Bruins. You don’t even really know a lot about them to be completely honest

You do know I’m talking about Jere Lehtinen right? Three time Selke winner? Not the goalie Kari Lehtonen. And how was Zubov overrated? Because he was a defenseman that actually put up all of those “fantasy points” you love to harp on? If you think Zubov is overrated, then you must think Torey Krug is terrible. But since Krug wears the spoked B, we all know you won’t be objective about it.

The Sabres are tough. Hasek and Perreault are locks. LaFontaine should be up there as well. The problem is coming up with the last inclusion. Breaking up the French Connection is sacrilege, so you can't include Martin and not Robert. Other candidates Briere/Drury (here only a short time, but captained some of the best Sabres teams ever assembled) also can't be split up. Eichel will almost surely be a candidate in the future, but he can't be included based on potential (and what he almost certainly WILL do). Pegula is a big figure in Buffalo in general, but the football and hockey franchises haven't yet had any success under his ownership, so he can't go up there yet.

I think I'd go with Hasek, Perreault, LaFontaine, Ruff (or Ray).

Ya I guess it's hard to pick 4 when Caps have never won a cup.....Rushmore question should be just for teams that have.....
