Tavares is currently projected to get 101 points this season, Honestly he will get more then $10 million at least between $11 million to $11.5 million per for 7 years.

No problem, it fits in the salary cap if it's 78 000 000.

I will even edit it right now.

I think Juulsen and Evans will play some games next year but will be full time for 2019-20 season.

Mete could make the team if we go 8 D next year.

I'm just saying it because Tavares is anywhere between 80 to 100 point #1C and with the cap expected to be anywhere from $78 million to possibly as high as $82 or $83 million by 2019 i think he will look to cash in big.

Agree, but the Habs have enough cap space to sign him to what he wants. I think he will re-sign with the Islanders but Habs could sign him.

Tavares would be better to Habs than Habs would be better to Tavares. After saying it, if I were Tavares (and I think he thinks like me), I'd sign with Leafs in FA. Not just because he's from Ontario, but specially because Leafs has the best young core players and one of the best rosters at all of the league. Besides, they're trained for one of the best (or probably the best) head coaches of the league: Mr. Babcock.

Leafs have a team to win a cup in 1 or 2 seasons.

On the other side, I don't see Habs winning a cup in the next 3 years. Maybe even more, depending of what their GM will do in the next seasons.

So, that's a no-brainer choice for Tavares. Sorry, Habs fans.
