That is a massive overpayment for Patch. He is having a down year and is not worth the Flames two top defensive prospects and Bennett, who is arguably playing his best hockey right now.

People have to stop with the "he's not playing well right now, so he has to come at a discount" crap, if MTL can't get full price for Patches, there not going to move him, period.

Bennett makes sense in a deal for Patches, and although I don't know much about Valimaki and Andersson other than they are a 1st and 2nd rd pick respectively, I've never seen two high end 1st's (Bennett and Valimaki) move in a single trade so I think it's safe to assume that CGY refuse this deal.
