As opposed to Brodie = best dman in the league?

Brodie is solid but having a bad year, guess how else is solid but having a bad year? Pacioretty is a stud forward. Literally zero basis to say he's not.

Brodie for Pacioretty is fair value, but CGY wants a right handed RW. Adding Sam Bennett on top of that . . .

Yup fair enough so why is "Pacioretty = god" then? Habs are also adding McCarron and a 2nd rounder which will be almost a 1st rounder by the end of the season and replacing Brodie with an albeit worse, but still NHL calibre dman at the same price. How is does that change anything on Pacioretty?

Its the over exaggeration that is unnecessary.

Not god, but top 3 goal scorer in the ENTIRE league over the last 3/4 years. Something any team would make room for regardless of a need for RW.

Sam Bennett is getting 3rd line TOI behind Monahan and Backlund with Jankowski now cementing a role on the team as well. The package I put in is more than enough compensation, especially with a 2nd round pick in one of the deeper drafts of the decade.

lol. Any team would make room for Patches? Not at that price. Ask an CGY fans if they do this trade, seriously. Think about the other team before you post. And no Alzner isn’t a good enough defensemen to compensate the loss of Brodie.

Ya I know. He wasn't my point. My point was to say the over exaggeration against Pacioretty wasn't needed. Nothing against Bennett?

Jerabek is a 26 year old that has yet to play in the NHL-- and galchenyuk and a third rounder doesn't equal mcdonagh
