Clean Up Part 2

Created by: JhonnyCanuck
Team: 2018-19 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 28, 2017
Published: Dec. 28, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
2018: Detroit has dealt Green and Ericsson to the Devils, Nielsen to the Jets, and Mrazek to the Blackhawks.
Hopefully this collection of picks lands Dahlin but you can't predict the lottery so I'm leaving him out.
Should leave enough cap space to make a run at Karlsson, OEL, or Doughty in the 2019 off-season with Kronwall and Howard's contracts(roughly 10 mill) coming off of the books, even without a salary cap increase). In theory, Wings would like to re-sign Howard to a 2 year deal, worth around 4Mill per year at the age of 34.

By this time Boston wont be looking for another LHD. Between the prospects in the pipeline and what's already here, they would have no need for TD.

Are you referring to the Devils trade where they also got Mike Green for their 2018 playoff push and a 3rd round pick for Ericsson? Or the Jets trade that helped them stay afloat after the Scheifele injury? Or the Kings getting a top 6 winger? The Daley trade is the biggest reach because I don't know if Boston is still interested in him or not.

the devils and the jets trades are so cap hurtful and money foolish for the devils and jets. i could see the Daley trade, but that third year of the contract kinda hurts his ability to be traded . the only reason I would believe he signed with wings is he offered a third year. the jets can stay a float with the relatively useless neilsen and especially his long term anchor of a contract. same with ericsson.

Tavares gets at least 7x11.5M he wont sign in Detroit for only $10 million Athanasiou at the most gets $3 million 4 is to much Larkin probably gets a long term deal at 8 years @ $6.5 million Mantha might get a 2 year bridge deal at $5 million or so he still needs to show us more before i give him bigger money unless he has a strong 2nd half i'm not convinced that Mantha should get a longer term deal.
