Wonder what Seabrook's NMC means? Especially to an out of playoff team like Vancouver. RFAs Larkin and Dano offer sheets aren't matched.? Many of of those RFA aren't taking those offers or moving to Chicago's.

Actually, Vancouver is home for Seabrook, so yes, he would likely accept that deal. If someone knows a team is looking to trade them, they likely aren't going to say no, especially if it means going home. Also, and yes, those RFA's would take those deals from Chicago, but they would likely just get matched; well, Larkin's would..not sure if they would match Dano's, and not sure why the Hawks would offer Dano 1.5 a year when he can't stay in Winnipeg's lineup.

I just don't think you understand "RFA" . Detroit would easier match the offer and retain him, hence the word "Restrictive". It's still a 6.8m Seabrook for cap hit for Vancouver which isn't all that attractive. Seabrook has moved away from "home" in 2001 to play hockey, a half life time ago. Not sure of Vancouver ties, he actually "summers" in the mountains closer to Calgary.

I am fully aware of what RFA means, as it's "Restricted," not "Restrictive." Any team can offer a RFA a contract (called an offer sheet), and then that the team that owns that players right, can retain him, or let him walk and get draft picks in return based on the players average salary earned; I even said Detroit would match the offer sheet when I said "but they would likely just get matched." I didn't say his contract is attractive in any manner, as the trade mentioned above wouldn't be agreed upon, nor did I say it would. I simply meant he grew up South of Vancouver, and likely has family there, which is why I said that was "home."
