Habs run with this team until the end of the season and then look make upgrades in summer on D (J. Johnson, J. Carlson, R. Dahlin) and possibly at C (J. Tavares, M. Backlund). Would be a nice kickstart for a refresh to have three firsts and three seconds (which they already have).

You're probably right. That's why I put in it's only a first if Pens make the playoffs. Might have to change it to if they make conference final so it's at best the 28th pick. Maybe just straight across for a second?

To me the Byron/ Petry Deal and the Plekanec Deal are realistic if you add Charlie Lindgren so essentially pick one or the other (I prefer the one with the islanders and then take a lower pick for pleky) also patioretty has more value than Duchene so I think Edmonton would have to add a prospect or pick

I agree with this although they should try to get rid of depth defenceman, ufa’s and even expensive RFA’s like lindgren. UFA I think Montreal should go after that everyone forgets is Marschessault, not only a centre but also from Quebec

True. They could also ship out Jerabek, Carr or Benn but he has another year left on his deal. Don't think they'd get much more than late picks for the rest so I didn't bother trying to figure out where they might land. Was more focused on who could get a 1st, good prospects or a good roster player in return.

I'd be willing to add Lindgren to the Islanders deal and taking a 2nd for Plekanec. Still a decent youth movement that is badly needed.

Yeah I wouldn’t be expecting high pics I’m just saying that they have too many D right now and if they’re looking to revamp the backend than they need to make some room

If Hanzal was worth a 1st, 2nd and 4th, then Pleky's certainly worth a late 1st alone, more so if Habs retained half his salary. But I'd be glad with a 2nd and a B prospect...
