Detroit says No Sekera is on the wrong side of 30, Detroit wants to get younger not dealing a 23 year old Athanasiou for a 31 year old Sekera besides Edmonton isn't making the playoff this year so Green wont waive for them Edmonton like Detroit will be sellers at the TDL.

Green is the same value as Sekera, and Athanasiou is leagues above Slepyshev, a 2nd doesn't balance it out either.

Greene is no spring chicken and is not signing in Det next year, Sek is a fair trade. Athanasiou going to hold out again this year? He is not worth a 1st considering his production this year, low 2nd round pick seems fair and a prospect who played well in last year's playoffs then ran into some injuries, seems like a good add. This is of course unless Atha is in the wings plans and they pay him, then worth keeping I guess.
