The Habs can get a lot more than a 7th without taking on such bad a bad contract. This should probably be Plekanec ($3M retained) for Boedker and two seconds, or even a first.

If Sharks have cap space, why would they want to get Plekanec retained and lose picks for that?

I don't know, maybe to get some help down the middle of the ice during the playoff race. I'm not an expert on SJS center situation though. The point is that the Habs have no incentive to pick up Boedker without picks since Plekanec's contract expires at the end of the season and Boedker's does not.

Don't understand why anyone, including the Sharks, would want turtleneck.

Sharks say no to Plek.
