Great re-singing by Vegas. Though the term I think is to long but the money is just right.

got to give term to get the money right. Term isn't that bad either if you look at how it's structure. He's only making $3.5M the last two seasons of it which still isn't bad for a guy if he's a 30-45 point player at age 33/34.

Crazy.

Before the start of the year McPhee was licking his chops at the return he was going to be getting for all these guys if they played half decent. Now, he finds himself on the other side of the pickle. The team is playing so well that he needs to reevaluate who he should prioritize keeping...

I can't believe how well they are doing. All I know is this is good for hockey and the NHL. Anyone hesitant about paying the expansion fee is getting much more lenient with the results of LV this year, I would think.

Amazing signing for locking up what is arguably their best player. Scary to think what the Knights could look like in the next few years

True dat.

But lets be honest, 17-18 Vegas or 00-01 Columbus/Minnesota. Which expansion process was worth more?

Imagine how good Vegas would be if they didn’t trade away players right after the expansion draft.

Also pretty funny how teams made side deals and exposed certain players, only to find them tearing it up right now (Karlsson, Haula, Smith, Marchessault, etc).

I think it's a great signing for Vegas.

I'll be real about, I'm a little surprised that Marchessault signed for 5 million AAV. With the way he's played for a year and half, I would have thought he would have waited for Vegas to give him an offer that was 7-8 years or at least with an AAV in the 6 to 7 million range.

Then again, I have no idea about the other clauses in his deal or how much he really loves Vegas. So I'll let the more articulate people here comment on it.
