I'm not a Pacioretty fan so maybe I undervalue him... but NO WAY. Perrault is solid, so yeah Jets get an upgrade but Perrault is also very durable so it's not nearly the upgrade that it would take to get 3 valuable assets.

The value just isn't even. As a fancystats guy, I happen to like Mathieu Perreault more than most people (in 5v5 rate production and possession, he's arguably better than Pacioretty), but let's just go with the consensus view of both Players for the sake of argument.

The Jets give up a Top 6 Forward (who's having a career year), two of their top prospects, and a 1st. In return, they get a slumping 1st-liner with a year-and-a-half left on his deal.
