Well I think Stajan is a stronger center who can play on the PK alot better than Ryan.
I never said that Halak was an upgrade, I was just wondering if you wanted him.
I mentioned Fehr incase you didn't want Stajan, Fehr can play center also.

I'm also wondering what the offer would start with. If it's prospects.... do you have more than what are shown in your description?

I told the head GM of Boston something like: "Backes would be the best captain since Ron Francis and Rod Brind'Amour." I don't see a real "C" on your team right now. Elder Staal was pretty good, but he's gone now.

The guys you've assembled in your lineup make me think you are really interested in winning as much as you can this year. Backes would definitely help in a lot of ways the next 3 or 4 years as well and he works so hard that he's not likely to have a huge drop-off. Last year he was 10 to 15 pounds too heavy so he didn't crack 40 points in 74 games. In the offseason he worked on losing weight and increasing speed and now he's probably one of the best 3rd liners in the league. He's our 2nd best RW, but we use him on the 3rd line with Riley Nash because they can shutdown the opponent with great defensive skills.
