Prices may have changed a bit. The previous GM wanted a 1st rounder as a part of the deal. I don't need one but would need some valuable things.

It'd need to be more than the value of a 1st round pick, but not necessarily a 1st. That may or may not help you, but because you are Carolina and they have a pretty good chance at drafting high I'd think it to be more reasonable than a 1st +. I'd probably want 2x 2nds + a good replacement that I'm not sure you have right now. We had Stempniak already and he wasn't really a good fit, Carter for Backes seems like a lateral move for you at best and Skinner is more valuable than Backes, so I'm not seeing a whole lot right now.

Hey sorry for the long response about Tatar but most of the prospects i love from Carolina it looks like you dont have anymore. But Saarela, Gauthier, Roy, Geekie, and Kuokkanen look interesting to me. (im guessing most of them are on the Ahl roster rn) If youre looking to add Tatar without moving any roster players it would have to be a combination of some of those guys I listed and a pick.

Agreed on most of that there. Carter should have more value for Backes but its close. I don't have all that many 2nds left so we'd have to be careful there. If theres something that interests you let me know.

I wouldn't call it a lateral move, I'd call it over an upgrade since Hutton isn't having a good season and Darling is basically the backup again. Would you be willing to do a pick instead?

Just a reminder that you have until the end of Tuesday, March 5 to complete negotiations with regarding your RFAs. This is the only window to extend RFAs until the offseason. There will be no limit to how many RFAs you extend or regulation on AAV. Any RFA with a NMC will not be tradeable until one year after the contract kicks in (exact dates TBA).
