It doesn't solve our C problem, and I feel Pacioretty is the last valuable asset we have to fix that problem.

Having said that, it does find us a partner for Shea Weber and get's us a 1st round pick.

If I were GM, I wouldn't throw that proposition out the window. I'd probably lose a few nights sleep thinking about it.

after losing a nights sleep, how about I keep 50% of Pacioretty's salary (allows you more cap space to keep shopping this year AND next), and I throw in a conditional swap of 1st round picks (top 10 protected) for Klague and Vilardi?

Great value! Very interesting but it doesn't solve MTL problem... the need TOP C + LD
