While I'm not denying kapanens skill if we are getting rid of our top defenceman we need a A Prospect and a second, otherwise it's a 1st and a B prospect.

Canucks management are terribly off if the take anything less

Kappy, 1st or something like Bracco, 1st, 3rd is what it would take. You underpayed here.

I wouldn't target Tanev. He is showing once again how injury prone he is, only playing 28 out of 44 possible games..
Your never going to get full value for a defender who is that injury prone and puts up virtually no offense. Granted he is a great defensive and transition player

The Leafs should absolutely target Tanev, and if they do so before the deadline, I'm sure Vanek could be thrown in, for a price, by the Canucks.
That would be huge or a Leafs team that has so little experience and must expect some injuries when it really matters...
Clearly the proposed deal here is unfair. Giving up such low value spare parts and a 2nd is not going to meet anyone's price. But what would have to be added to it?

Leafs add Rychel, Rosen, and their extra 2018 7th. What say you? Overpaying now? Still not enough, it should be a 5th or even 4th added?
