Why even focus on a 35 year old with 3 more years @ 8.5 cap hit that has a full NMC when there are goalies that could be had.

Let's just assume our biggest rival would be willing to ship the face of their franchise across town (which I don't see happening). Hank's cap hit and age are prohibitive. NYR would need to retain. I don't even know what would be a solid offer.

If you want Lundqvist, I'm assuming what you are saying is you want an all star calibre #1 goalie. They are either not available or have NMC's and pretty much dictate where they go.

IMHO the only goalies available would be teams backup goalies who are on the brink of trying to break through. Grubauer, Dell, Jarry, etc. Those are your best bets.

Now, just for fun if NMC's weren't a problem and cap hits and what not, I think Price would be one of the only elite goalies on the market IF Mtl was serious about rebuilding.

Well there's no way they trade him unless they get a HUGE overpayment. If they're gonna win a cup soon, he's the guy they need to do it. So unless they get something crazy like Barzal, Ho-Sang, Pulock, and 3 1sts then it's a no.
