Sergachev barely played with Weber and spent most of his time in Juniors. He was already a top prospect and Weber didn't change that. Weber is a good player and leader but Nashville completely won the trade because Subban is an allstar while Weber has been injured for a lot of time and his play has been declining. Bergevin should have been able to get picks in that trade. Also the youth hadn't been drafted when Subban was on the habs.
subban is going to be traded from NSH by summer 2019
because right now 3/4 top D make 9.25m and NSH has
2/3 D mentioned due paydays and considering both are
top pairing D in NSH last playoffs you'd have to think
they stick with the core Shea trained and avoid PK UFA saga
by trading him to a team like EDM ,LA,CHI or PIT and get solid pieces .
plus Subban hasnt played to the level his 9m dollar contract says he should
yes he's been as good as most 7m dollar defensman but when push came to shove
in the finals subban sat in the penalty box 4 playoff games 3 of which NSH lost and
the Defensman they paid 9m dollars and Weber for who was suppose to provide the
offense to tip the scales in their favor cost his team when it mattered most .
Subban is a great player but they did pay him to play 2nd pairing like he's Petry
even with Ellis injured until 4 games ago Subban wasnt promoted , ekholm was to top line
with Subban and Emelin taking 2nd pair . they'd make the most impact flipping him to a team like
EDM who would give up a big piece to land him as Chirelli was all over Subban for a year before he went to NSH
wanting to trade EDM pick for Subban so we could get Dubois but CBJ picking him over Pujlarvi and Tkchuck threw the
draft into chaos from there and ended up allowing us to get Sergachev so late .
