If they get Dahlin it would be prudent to keep OEL to mentor him.

Also having a young superstar as a D partner may be enough to get OEL to re-sign

No team would offer so much for OEL, why should the Leafs? Now that the season has started, Lupul included in any trade is meaningless.

They don't have to trade away those guys to have a great chance in winning the lottery, even tho they've never had the 1st OA yet. However, would it truly matter if they did land this stud dman?

C'mon, palhal, every team always looks for a loophole...

You guys have Chychrun and goligoski. Why get Dahlin too? You guys stink offensively. Wouldn’t Svechnikov or zadina be a better fit?

If his hype is accurate, Dahlin might be the next Lidstrom. Any team passing on this young buck may long regret it.

Then they might as well trade Chychrun while they are at it since the whole point in trade OEL is because Chychrun is ready to become the top pair LD.

It seems to me, keeping Chychrun and trading Two Names might actually be just as good or maybe a whole lot better if they also landed Dahlin.

I mean if I was the coyotes in nhl 18 I’d keep Chychrun and Dahlin. But I think Gogo would be a solid vet presence on the blue line and has the cap hit to keep them above the cap floor

I guess I'm a little confused. I was responding to the suggestion that OEL was on his way out and sssuming Goligoski was staying all along. So, in essence, we are in agreement. Regardless, does it even matter anyways?
