No, Price is struggling and Barzal is the energy. Isles don’t make that trade in a million years

Price just got lit up for 5 goals on 20 shots last night. Going on a monster contract that will cripple us for years. Pass.

That trade doesn't get us a cup though

Habs don't either.

With you, Bud. I'd take Price and a 2.95 GAA/.905 -- given a bad start and Weber now being out -- over pretty much anything. So would Team Canada. Besides, I respect the guy enough not to put him in front of the firing squad that is the Islanders' defensive zone.

It seems to me NYI would be better served going after two really good defensemen and an average goalie instead of the Price is wrong. I also agree with not trading Barzal EVER!

Let's agree that you can't have and you don't want Price. I hate to break it to you but the Isles are going to trading for someone. The only UFAs out there are Lehtonen and Cam Ward. Happy sailing....

Barzal is the real deal. It'll be interesting to see how things go for him should Bailey, Nelson and/or JT decide to head for the exits.

Are you saying the Barzal will be lower or otherwise?!?

Also, Bernier is currently playing well in his contract year

Not at all. I am impressed as heck, but he isn't facing #1 checkers all the time yet. JT is. I think Barzal going to be a very good player for a long time. Is he special? Still a little too soon to tell, but certainly has that potential.
