Draft Floor 2018 Blockbuster Trade. Wild get Experience and Cap Relief, Yotes get talent and bring Marner to play with Strome or Dvorak. Leafs get Top 4 RHD and Organizational Depth at C.

Since we cant do three team deal on here this is what Arizona gives Minnesota.

Pittsburgh trade is done at the deadline that gives us a cheaper option at depth centre positions. Bozak gets reunited with Kessel for a cup run.

That is a horrible deal for the Leafs. Marner is worth more than that whole package, and then throwing Gardiner on top is a massive loss for Toronto.

Dumba alone is close to worth Marner. Hes a potential Top 2 RHD who has more goals then Marner from the back end already this season and is only a few years older. We could not afford Gardiner with Dumba's next extension along with the big boys, so he nets us Centre depth in a former first rounder in Kunin. This eliminates two weaknesses (RHD, and C) by trading from our strengths (LHD and RW) and allows for a clearer cap picture moving forward while creating space for more youth to move up such as Kapenen/Dermott. I believe Arizona gets the best player, but I think the Leafs get better now and long-term as a team. Have to give something to of worth to get what you want.

This is horrendous mate... you competely missed the ball on this one. Marner alone is worth more then that whole package, and Dumba is not that special of a player. Should really be looking at Elkhom if you want a top quallity D-man that is worth it

If Minnesota wanted Marner, they'd have to add a ton to Dumba. Kunin hasn't been necessarily tearing it up in the AHL either. No reason for the Leafs to seriously consider this one.

You seem more interested in Pens playoff run then the Leafs. Leafs need Bozak a lot more than Sheehan. I know trades are subjective, but folks, especially Leaf fans really get enamoured by RHDs. No reason to think Dumba is this mythical # 2 Dman, saviour, he hasn't been with Minni. Leafs already have Zaitsev, and Hainsey on the right side, and Liljgren a year or two away.

From a Wild fan's perspective...

Dumba is a LOT better than any of you think. He often leads the Wild in minutes per game this season. While he still makes some decisions that make you scratch your head...or want to throw a brick at the TV, he is an absolute, bonafide, elite talent and is often worth the price of admission just to see him play. He's exciting. explosive. passionate, and very, very skilled! IMO, he is almost untouchable from a Wild point of view. It would take a very, very big offer for the Wild (me) to move him.

Kunin was named to the AHL all-star game...for whatever that is worth. He might not end up a top 6 forward (jury is still out), but he will develop into a player every team in the NHL wants and needs: a highly competitive, two-way playing, versatile leader who plays with grit, attitude and doesn't mind mixing it up when necessary. Gun to my head, I think he has a long NHL career and will score around15-20 goals a season...but his intangibles are what will make him worth even more. He's a gamer!

I'm a very big Hjalmarsson fan, but I do not want the Wild getting older! I like a lot of what Lawson Crouse brings to the table, but unless he is a guaranteed 30-40 goals-a-year guy, there is not enough coming back to Minnesota for this trade to make sense to them. I also don't know enough about Nick Cousins to evaluate his part in all of this...
