I think you're a bit optimistic on the Nyquist trade, but you're also retaining money, so maybe that's pretty close. I don't think Chicago is going to be a buyer, but there's a handful of other teams that will pay a 1st for green, so that's a good one. Howard will absolutely not get a 1st rounder back, but you have the right idea to move him, and the Pens might be a fit.

Small complaints, but overall good suggestions. I doubt Detroit will be able to haul in 3 more picks in round 1, but I like it.

Great moves for Detroit if they can get that much o a return from three expiring UFA contracts.

Obviously, it depends on the supply and demand for players at three different positions, and on whether Pittsburgh and Chicago are still in the chase in a few weeks. But each of those players should return a decent prospect and a pick somewhere in the first three rounds.

You're probably right with jimmy, a 1st rounder is not going to happen. All the same I feel there is a need there in Pit to have a safety net behind Murray and Jimmy has been playing the best hockey of his career the last two years so I’m sure they could deal. As for Gus, the Preds would be getting a 50pt winger for 2years at a discounted $3 mil AAS. Especially now with 2 of their top three forwards on IR as well as Johansen day’to’day, this could be a steal of a price. Just my opinion though, I’m prob a little biased

Nyquist and Howard aren't on expiring contracts both still have one year left only Mike Green has an expiring contract, Both Nyquist and Howard are UFA's in 2019.

Like the moves, all realistic returns as well.
I'd try to shop Mrazek though instead of Howard, even though it probably would be a lesser return on a pick.

People are always looking to upgrade goaltending and they usually overpay. So, 1st for Howard could actually get done.
