deadline dumping - real trades possible?

Created by: BleedBlue_LGR
Team: 2017-18 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 18, 2018
Published: Jan. 18, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think most of these trades are reasonable....open to criticisms/ critiques of them....the basic premise of this team is to restock the farm which has been decimated by "win now" trades. Getting top dollar for assets like Ryan McD & Zucc now would speed any transition... likely have a bad year in 18/19, and return to contention in 19/20.

Oilers would probably do that. remove one of the seconds for a 3rd and it gets done 100%

In this scenario, why would you not trade Grabner for anything?

only thing is nichushkin would be a waste since he won't touch lindy ruff with a 100 ft pole.. would rather take out one of those firsts, the third and get Heiskanen and a 2018 first rounder.

I don't think any of those trades get done. Nash has been bad this year, so no team is giving up a first and second for a rental who is not playing well. McDonagh is a good player and leader, but 2 firsts and a top prospect is a high asking price for 1 1/2 seasons from him. I still think it's too much if he had 3 or 4 years left on his contract. Holden has proven himself to be serviceable, but nobody is giving up a 2nd for a rental Dman who plays less than 20 minutes per game. Zuc's trade might happen if it's Yamamoto and a 2019 2nd rounder. Lastly, nobody in their right mind drops a first on Michael Grabner. He's a rental who can only generate offense on breakaways, so it's not like he's the kind of player who puts a bubble team over the top.
