Description

Tampa easily has an overflow of prospects they could move to get Karlsson for a playoff push or longer. With Vassey in net Ingram will most likely never see a starting job, so trade. Keokkeok will most likely lose a starting role to a veteran most of his career or an upcoming D prospect, so gone. Getting killer of the books but retaining some Salary, he’s a great playoff player so gone. Cirelli and Raddysh are great forward prospects that will probably not see a top 6 role in Tampa for a few years so gone. Erne will never reach his potential in Tampa so gone. And A first for good luck. Tampa gets a decent Dman and 2nd rounder with Karlsson because SteveY is a magician.

No because Karlsson wont be dealt at the TDL, The earliest would be at the draft no sooner. And that's far too much for 1.5 years of Karlsson.

They’re giving up a lot of pieces yes but the value just isn’t there. They’re just giving up a 1st round pick, a decent top 4 D, an overpaid 3rd liner and some decent prospects for one of the best defenceman in the league and a 2nd rounder

Agreed that pretty bad value for just about the best D man in the NHL, Pretty sure any deal of Karlsson going to Tampa either starts with Point or Sergachev once again this is quantity for quality and it has to be quality for quality and this doesn't cut it.

Any deal for Karlsson would have to include Sergachev because they would need a premium prospect in return. Its about quality not quantity

It's unlikely he's traded anyway. But if he is, i agree, it wouldn't be at the deadline ... actually, if he's traded, it would be at the deadline ... the 2019 trade deadline.

Exactly if Melynk refuses to give Karlsson what he wants, I can definitely see Karlsson going at the 2019 trade deadline but not before then that much we do agree on.

Melnyk already drove out Turris. Stone is next. Then Karlsson.

Value is questionable but I have to admit I'm crying at the thought of Hedman & Karlsson together!
