CBJ isn't giving up a 1st for plek.

Why Emelin, isn't his contract up? Montreal doesn't want him moving forward. They already have a #3 RD Petry smile

I am giving up Galchuck for 1st all day....if you were him would you ever re-sign in Montreal, not me!

Jarnkrok is as good as Chucky and cost 3m less a year. And all those other pieces are meaningless to the Preds.

Your bias is showing palhal. He may be better defensively as a center, but this is the only year where their point productions are even close, and he is 3 years older. He has a better contract, I'll give you that.

Jokinen isn't being dealt especially to a non-playoff team like Montreal and Columbus isn't surrendering a 1st either for that meh package.

Sorry homer, look the stats this year. Chucky has 2 more points than Jarnkrok and I'm sure Jarnkrok sees a lot less PP than Chucky. And you called a Jarnkrok a defensively better. Preds are in good position why would they want to disrupt their team for a questionable better player. I don't know why you think I'm showing bias, I don't care either way, but it's a bad deal for Preds, period.

Chucky is a younger player, playing on one of the worst, low-scoring teams in the league and is still producing better than Jarnkrok, a player who is having a career year on one of the best teams in the league.

You didn't say that in your original reply though. I might agree with you on that that disrupting their team structure in the middle of a contending season might not be beneficial, but you specifically said than Jarnkrok is as good as Chucky, which is objectively false.

By the "this year" logic, do you also believe Josh Bailey is better than Nylander? I mean, their point totals speak for themselves, don't they?

I'll go back, Jarnkrok probably sees as little PP time as any Pred which really affects his production.

And you wanna make the Bailey/Nylander comparison. Yes, I believe Bailey is better than Nylander this year. Who has more value. in a trade? Nylander by a mile. Bailey is an upcoming UFA and he really has had only one good year in his NHL career, this year when he has lots of time as Tavares's winger. Look how Okposo has declined, not being Tavares's winger. So trade value wise, wouldn't any team think Nylander is worth more in a trade?
Now if I was an NHL top contender, and wanted immediate help at wing, at a cheaper trade price, Bailey would make the most sense.

I see all kinds of silly trades. For instance OEL, McDonagh or Doughty to the Leafs for two good NHL starters and more from the Leafs. What's the point? These short term Dman aren't going to turn the Leafs in winners in the next two years Now maybe if these star Dman should go to a top contender and maybe they would put them over the top, that's where Arizona, Rangers and Ottawa should be moving their star dmen.

It's the same thing I was arguing. Jarnkrok might be having a sligthly better season (debatable), but he's not better or more valuable than Galchenyuk like you suggested. It's true than Jarnkork doesn't see a lot of powerplay time, but that is counterbalanced by the fact that he is playing on a stacked team, with the best defence in the league, while the other one plays on a line with a guy who's never played center prior to this season, with one of the most immobile defences in the NHL.
