Montreal isn't going to give up their pick (that could be Dahlin).

Did you read that trade at all? It says that if the pick is from 4th to 7th overall pick, then that suggested trade can be made.

From Az side I would take Schlemko out and its a deal. He has no place to fit in our roster and being a internal cap team those $$$ can be better spent in other spots on the roster

I don't like it personally for various reasons, but it's probably in the range of reasonable.

Would OEL and a conditional 1st
For Galchenyuk, Hudon, and a conditional 1st work for you?
Forget the other pieces.

The idea is to get Arizona more immediate help and guarantee them the higher of the two team's 1sts. Meaning Galchenyuk, Hudon, and ~double the lottery chance, for OEL alone.

Trade happens at the draft, so the lottery results are known. If Montreal gets a higher pick than Arizona, they make the trade, including a swap of 1st rounders. If not, Arizona gets a 2019 1st from Montreal instead.

I would suggest Shaw instead of Hudon, because I feel he is more useful for Arizona as a versatile player who can play anywhere around your youth, rather than displacing them. I only hesitate because Shaw's value is overshadowed by his contract among AGMs, and Arizona is on a budget.

I'd rather keep Galchenyuk, and can't see Montreal moving 1st overall of they were to get it, but MB has done stranger things, and I can't deny that OEL next to Weber long term would be enticing.

laugh laugh Not even close for a sign and trade deal on Oliver Ekman-Larsson, First off the Habs don't have the pieces to land Ekman-Larsson a pick #4-#7 wont be enough to convince John Chayka to make this deal and besides no way Ekman-Larsson only signs for $7.6 million when he reportedly wants closer to $8.5 million to $9 million on his next deal. Galchenyuk+Schlemko+McCarron+Montreals 2018 1st round pick 4-7 You're wrong if you honestly believe this gets you a sign and trade on Oliver Ekman-Larsson still not enough pieces going Arizona's way.
