Anyways, love the idea of speedy Byron on the Oilers but I doubt the Oilers are that much into him right now to pay a 2nd. Would A deal around like Slepyshev+ A pick and a bit work? Less salary, younger, bigger, plays anywhere in the top 9, Montreal embraces Russians, good?

Trust me, every time we draft high each year, I get a little chest pain, who knows when this team is gonna kill me because of it. I don’t want to be anywhere near where we are, it’s just painful and nostalgic.

How many Russians Julien had over his years in Boston? 3? 4? No chance they trade Byron for Slepyshev. Personally I would keep him exept if I can get a high 2nd RP.

Everything is great
It would either be Plek or Danault at the 3-C
I think Plecks at 2 million at the 3-C is great for the next 2 years
Danault should be traded for a great pick
and give Tavares a lil more.
Develop the 4-C position in Poehling for 2 years and dont ruin him

Great offense, but you make the same mistake that was made this year: it's a crappy D.
Let me try to upgrade your lineup

Reminds me of my design of the team, 1-2 punch with Johnny T&Backlund. If you can’t solve this, the solution is to rip the team apart.

I didn’t know that Julien had that much of an impact on Bergevin’s moves ?, Do you think he tells Bergevin that he specifically hates Russian players and wants to stay away from them? Lol shakes head. In the end I still don’t think Byron is worth an early 2nd, right now, if you’re a team in the West. You seem like one of the few fans who wouldn’t want Slepyshev on their team. No chance A Slepy for Byron trade goes through, ok, but adding to Slepyshev, no doubt in my mind would get the deal done.

Really? So you're saying you wouldn't want Matthew or Brady on your team?

Yes, there's no point in drafting someone who will just be suspended or in the box all the time.

lolol wow are you really that dense? Matthew tkachuk leads the league in penalties drawn this year, so he' actually doing the exact opposite of what you're saying. Plus, he's on pace for 27 goals and 59 points this year. But yea, what's the point of all that when he's "suspended or in the box all the time?"
