Description
pie in the sky
Who knows who they will get in the draft being a bottom 4 team i really like 4 players dahlin, tkachuck and boquist and zadina. there are other good picks this is just my faves. I went with us not getting the dahlin, also JVR would replace Patch at lower than patch will want next year and they are similar players, stewart is extra just thought he could play both sides up and down the lineup. This is think could make the team a contender and if backlund stays in calgary there is still stasny etc..

Canadiens can't score. You're trying to address that.

Issue I personally have is that the blueline is still slower than the 401 thru Toronto during rush hour. There is an innate inability there to move the puck up ice. This is something Markov and Subban could do, and low and behold they made the playoffs.

Right now bringing in all this help up front (as much as I do like Backlund) is throwing lipstick on a pig.

I'd be starting with throwing the kitchen sink at John Carlson.

I like it to be honest, but Edmonton won't do it

Overall good trades. I think that EDM won’t want to give away Yamamoto. I don’t think that I was the only one who saw superstar potential in him. Not McDavid like, but a like a Jagr in his prime or Kane or Toews. If you could get another prospect like Oscar Safin or Tyler Benson instead of Yam’s, then I believe Edmonton would do this. I like the Benn trade although I think you could pry a third out of NYI.

I agree 100% with the d needing work (boqvist addresses that) Unfortunately not right away most likely. He has the same offensive upside that Dahlin has but not as good in the d zone, Yamamoto could be replaced with puljujarvi and rop the pick or move it lower and alzner and schlemko still needs to go. I think carlson will sign for 8+ somewhere and i would love to have him but like tavares i dont think he would sign here unless we keep alzner and still thats a stretch. I think this would still be a great start
