I was thinking that Patches isn't enough for Nuge. He's having on of the best years and he's a young center, far more valuable than a 30 year old forward who is showing signs of decline.

He is having his best season in his career and he's still not on pace for more than 55 points. I feel like Edmonton fans are overrating him a bit because they surrounded by bad news and the good stands out just by contrast. He is on pace to score less than his third and fourth years in the league, and is having an average season scoring-wise.

The fact that the GM made a mistake does not mean fans should propose trades that are unfair for their teams.

Nuge was on pace for thirty goals before his injury, so I would take a young center over a coring winger any day
