Just taking a peek at Stone's numbers he is pretty awful defensively and his offence has all but dried up. He makes too much money for a third pair D and the Leafs would be better off playing their young players(Dermott, Borgman & Carrick) and getting them experience.

Agreed. Calgary is stuck with that bum. Unless they include a 1st the free up the cap space.

Add Calgary 2nd or 1st, then sure cause Stone is definitely not worth all that

I think this is fair. 2 non proven nhl players for a solid 4-5 dman. Stone might not produce great numbers or analytics but for a player who has played with kulak and bartkowski all year he is reliable defensively. He is obviously better with kulak than bartkowski. Bartkowski is a decent skater but puts his teammates in trouble with his decision making.

Maybe retain a little bit of money but the contract isnt that bad. The people that say add a 1st or 2nd are just being ridiculous.
