You're paying Philly to dump cap on us? Why?

I don't get why MTL would make any of these deals...

Byron: a 20 goal scorer who barely make 1M$/yr for a center who has shown nothing in over 100 NHL games so far (not to mention we are throwing in a draft pick).

You said yourself Lehtera was a cap dump. In that case, why would we give them a draft pick AND a young player who scored almost 20 for us last year? We don't need handicap contracts.

MAYBE... and that's a huge maybe... Bergevin could be talked into taking a contract like Lehtonen's off their books and acquire a draft pick in the process. I still think it's a stretch.

We need a center(s). Lehtera under contract for another season at a very reasonable price, he adds size up the middle with experience and past . He has the potential to be a 40pt guy, paired up with Pacioretty hoping for 50pts.

Lethera has 3 passes this year lmao and he's only been good in his first season in the league apart from that he's nothing we need.

The first two trades are dreadful for us. Both Byron and that 2nd rounder on their own are more valuable than Dano who at this point projects as a bottom six winger.

Lehterä is a cap dump like you said, we don't need to spend ANY assets to get him. In fact, Philly should be paying to us to take him. And Lehterä is not the answer to our centre woes in the first place. He's not fast or durable enough to play in any sort of impact role.

I don't see why Dallas would do that third trade. Why would they pay a 2nd for a downgrade on backup goalie and adding a bottom-pairing dman to recreate the logjam they just got cleared by trading Oleksiak?

The Pleks trade has been discussed a lot and it's still solid.

i can name a dozen centers available better then Lehtera for less cost.

Lehkonen broke Alfredson's playoff scoring record he set over seas as a 32 year old NHL player playing during the lockout.
he's legit and if Hudon didnt step up during his injury he'd be played as much as he did last year .

Barbashev ,Kossila,Glendening ,Ryan,JGP,heck even Cullen in MIN
never would i consider lehtera he's horrible
