Gotta disagree with that. Arizona drafted him at 12 and since then I think most people would say he has declined in value, right? Sprong + 1st + definitely equals more than a #12 pick. And I don't value Sprong that highly, hes just the Pens only real prospect in the eyes of other teams. Maybe the Pens would need to add but what you're saying seems kind of ridiculous.

Not really . . .

Just because you can get any player on NHL18 GM Mode for a discount doesn’t mean that in the real NHL, GM’s will give way players for **** offers. Your logic by “12th overall” makes no ****ing sense and is probably the worst argument I’ve seen on here.

Very enlightening comment.

Sprong + 1st + more is the kind of offer that got us Kessel. Domi is a mid 1st rounder that hasn't panned out as well as expected. You seriously think that is worth 3 or more big pieces?

I don’t think he’s worth that, but ARI GM probably does. He’s not shopping Domi. He won’t trade Domi for anything less than an overpayment, and that overpayment would be Sprong+1st+ from PIT.

And can you not use draft position to determine value, it’s a **** talking-point.

Please don't bother commenting on any more of my posts, seriously the way you talk you would have the world believe you are the authority on NHL GMs.

I’m stating how another GM would look at things . . .

It probably would be Sprong + First....just cause their GM will want overpayment. However a draft point is a decent talking point. His expected value at the time matters, and how he was trended from them.
