Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
the CBJ trade happens because Anderson isn't a third line winger, and is getting pushed to play there because of atkinson and foligno. Savard gets pushed out due to the fact that the plethora of young d men in the system.. they get letestu for depth for a playoff run, a solid centre man and great 2way player a long with a struggling winger with strome.. edmonton throws in a draft pick because strome is not living up to full potential.

Let trade happens because of contract negotiations from last year.. EDM gets a real quality speedster that would look good on the PP with mcdavid.

injury riddled fabbri for maroon.. maroon goes home and helps out ALOT for a playoff run, and Fabbry gets a chance to play top 6 minutes in edmonton.. win win.

yeah EDM absolutely rips off the other team in each of these trades. remember what Columbus gave up to protect Anderson? that was WAY more than what you're trying to buy Anderson AND Savard, who is a useful player in his own right.
DET absolutely has no reason to do this. if they're selling and EDM wants to upgrade, why would they want back a similar player of the same age and take... a single round upgrade out of this? yes, EDM 2nd roudners are almost first roudners but that still doesn't cut it.

the last trade is an absolute joke. "hey your best young player is injured all the time, why don't you gift him to us? we will take care of him?"

edit: the more I think about it, the more preposterous it gets. 1 star is WAYYY too much for this.

Teams like stlouis, teams like Columbas give up their prospects for proven veterans at the trade deadline it’s sort of how it goes when teams are in a “win now” scenerio which is exactly what the blues are right now. Maroon would be able to do more for them than Fabbri could in April. Examples wisniewsky to the ducks for wild bill karlsson, a 2nd and Rene bourque, Martin erat for filip forsberg,

No way in hell does Maroon get you Fabbri, Caggiula does not get you AA, the Edmonton one needs a bit more

Uhh Josh Anderson has been playing with Dubois and Panarin on their top line for most of the season.

The only way I could see this lopsided of trades happening in Edmonton's favour is if Peter Chiarelli could somehow be a GM for CBJ, DET and STL at the same time

neither of the players you traded for are prospects though.
