I'd be hesitant to trade of Ritchie for an aging and UFA Nash, but honestly, the price is high. Well done

As much as I like the deal, Rangers would need to retain some salary here. If they do that, the ducks would be able to add a D man to the mix at the deadline as well. I would love for them to get Jordie Benn to help on the left side. And we wouldnt have to hunt for Beauch replacement at the end of the year. Unless Larsson is that guy.

I wouldn't want to move Ritchie for a rental, but this is a good proposal, nice job. Nash would be a killer addition.

I agree with adding a D but the ducks need help at RD. Beauch has been solid as the #6 guy. They need to find someone to take Bieaksa’s spot. He’s been god awful.

Beauch plays RD as well and played some of his best hockey here on the right side of Lindholm. I also worry about his ability to handle the workload come playoff time, he's already taking games off to lessen the load, those old legs have a lot of mileage.

Terrible asset management. Ritchie may not be the player you hoped for (yet!), but he’s still young, hasn’t finished developing, and cost-controlled. The additional 2nd rounder is laughable quite frankly. Nash isn’t even close to being that good to warrant such a return. He’s slow and has been a perrenial under-performer for a number of years now. We’re not even in a position to exploit his addition to the roster because we’re not in a playoff position. EZ pass.

People love to complain that Perry has lost it. He’s slow, can’t defend, floats and loses the puck all too often, but then you suggest we go after Rick Nash. The mind boggles.
