Dubinsky back to NYR?

NYR
Dubinsky has asked for trade so his NMC is invalid, could he be looking to get traded back to NYR and what would Columbus have to add for taking on his contract? yes Dubinsky still has value but not that much especially since he's asking to be traded. Milano, Carlsson, Texier or a 1st could be a good start
    CBJ
NYR needs to get younger yes, but by taking on Dubinsky's contract they'll get valuable assets and if the rebuild will go through then NYR can afford three additional years of 5.8M AAV which will expire same year as Lundqvist, Shattenkirk, Smith and Staal while giving new contracts to Chytil and Andersson

I find it counter-productive to take on an aging player with a long term contact esp one that is paying more then your number 1 center. its a bad move

Interesting. Dubinsky would be a cheaper buy out based on how is contract is structured.

      Wow really?

I figured since he's got the higher cap hit Dubi would have the higher hit, but I guess not.

I think the trade could help both team tbh.

Rangers need Centers and CBJ needs a Defender. Torts liked Staal when he was with NYR so I'm sure he'd put in a good word.

I'd love to see this trade go down!

it wouldn't be cheaper per se, but for DUBI, it would be a straight 1,950,000 Per year, even if they wait a year, then its 4 years at 1.95 Mill.
Because of Staal's bonus money (3 Million) & Cap recovery factor on his deal, (his salary is LESS then the AAV for the last 3 years so that get's evened out in real cash) Dubi looks like a better buyout in June or even waiting a year.
