That NSH trade isn't close imo. I see what you're trying to say, but our 3 or 4th best prospect and a 1st is not fair value for us when we're getting a 7th defensemen and a 3rd line winger in terms of our team. I think a 2nd or our 2019 1st alone would be fair value, but not our 2018 first (a deeper draft) and our second best D-man prospect.

Nielsen wont waive his NMC to go back to the Isle he chose Detroit for a reason, Nashville says No Don't see Mike Green waiving for the Islanders either Howard to the Islanders just makes too much sense here.

NYI passes but the WPG one is actually somewhat intriguing.
Would WPG trade him since he's indicated he wants to leave the second he gets a chance anyway..

Hmm. I honestly believe Nyquist would easily slot into your top 6. The guy would have a lot more points if he wasn't on our team. We have a lot of really great forwards that are bogged down from a very below average puck moving blue-line and slow gritty forwards that can't really generate much offense or finish chances. I would bet money that Nyquist would have 60-70 points and 25-30 goals if he played a season with the Preds.

You are right though. I think I undervalued what I put on the table for you guys. I didn't realize Carrier was so well regarded.

I was trying to get a little creative. i don't disagree. Nielsen is probably here for the long term but I see a lot of Isle's fans say they want him back. And there's always the chance Nielsen thought Detroit would be a better fit. We are a bottom 5 team and he's been playing on our third line. These aren't scenarios I thought were likely just a bit of a "what if?". Mike Green to Tampa or Vegas is more likely for sure. Thank you for your thoughts.

Yeah, was trying to get a little creative with that NYI one, maybe got a little ahead of myself. I'd love to see Trouba come to Detroit being from Michigan and all that. Not to mention our blue line needs help drastically. I'd love to see a deal work out for both teams.
