He's actually played one game.
Anyway, he hasn't played great in the AHL but he's still young. I wouldn't do this as Dallas.

Edit: idk if i'd do it as the Rangers either. It could be a no from both sides.

This actually seems like one of the more reasonable valuations for Nash. We need to stop acting like Nash is the prized horse in this market when I can name 4 wingers on the block worth more (Kane, Hoffman, Pacc and Vanek). This list doesn't include JVR or Neal who could each ultimately end up being traded as well. If the Stars are gonna give up Honka and a top pick, it should be for a player of JVR's caliber or Kane's. Not a guy who is probably going to finish his 3rd straight season under 40 points

Did you just say Vanek was better than Nash? Ooof, hope I'm trading with you at the deadline.

Since the 2015-16 seasons (points/game)

Vanek: 0.55, 0.71, 0.71 (thus far this season)
Nash: 0.6, 0.57, 0.48 (thus far this season)

Although Nash is significantly better on defense, you get him to improve your team offensively and to add another weapon on the PP. Vanek does that more than Nash will, and his cap hit is almost $6 Million less. For a team like Dallas who is up against the cap and ranked 15th on the PP, these factors are very important
