Take 10000000000

Created by: Sagecoll
Team: 2017-18 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 5, 2018
Published: Feb. 5, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Nash = 1st = Honka.
Grabner = 1st. Pitt also wants center, they accept.
McD gets Yandle deal format with slightly better top prospect because McD > Yandle. Blues lose exactly zero roster players for playoff run,
Ducks get more scoring in what is almost a clone of the Brassard/Zibanejad deal.
I really like Kailer, so hell, is the value THAT far off with Chiarelli on the phone.

No chance if I am GM Gorts I’m trading JT Miller for Ondrej Kase, a 7th rounder plus a 2nd.

So you'll take anything for Lundqvist (a 7th rounder)? Kase is a good player. If you'd like to add a first to that or another 2nd be my guest haha.

Miller had 56 pts last year, on pace for 56 this year while AV bounces him around between Winger and Center. I’d trade Hayes before Miller.

So we trade a good young defenseman and our backup goaltender, leaving us with no competent backup for Bishop for a rental in Nash? That would never happen. Maybe if the Stars had a decent backup it would be more likely.

Yeah completely disagree. https://www.blueshirtbanter.com/2017/12/13/16770312/has-kevin-hayes-been-actuallygood-for-rangers-in-2017-18

Hayes is a more complete player, better defensively, an actual center. Miller is more valuable on the trade market. Terrible possession numbers.

That's a great idea. Swap our 5th for Pavelec.

Problem with that is Lehtonen's numbers are comparable to Bishop's this season, so if Bishop went down, we'd be in better shape to have Lehtonen in net over Pavelec who I do not trust at all, lol.

I don't really see any need for the Rangers to trade players like Vesey, Pionk, and Miller although I will say that the return for these trades seem pretty fair along with who these trades would be made with.

Reasoning is: Vesey seems like a 4th liner who has more value traded than on the team. Pionk in this scenario would be out of a job, has more value traded as well. Miller is going to need a commitment of a contract at least 4 years at around 5 mil. I don't think he's worth that, and has more value traded.

Pavelec post Benoit Allaire > Pre Benoit Allaire. Save % and gSAA numbers aren't much different than Lehtonen this year.

With the depth that the Rangers have along the wings, I can see why you may see Vesey as nothing more than a 4th liner but the truth is that Vesey is more than capable of playing on the 2nd or 3rd line with the right players. Pionk could end up cracking the rangers lineup sometime in the next 2 years with the fact that the Rangers are looking to rebuild. Miller is more than capable of being a solid top 6 forward, maybe not at center, but along the wing. His speed and shot are tremendous.

I don't disagree with any of those things. My point is the return they will get in a trade has more value than what they will provide if they stay on the team.
