Description
I did a mock draft to determine the picks that the Sabres had in 2018 draft. Ended up having 2 and 27.

with 2 they take Brady Thachuk and with 27 they take K'andre Miller. Thachuk is at Boston College and Miller is committed to Wisconsin they don't sign them and let him play college to mature.

Because Nylander is honestly having a terrible season for where we want him to be at, and I'm guessing that Bott's wants him to take a another year in Roc, he's only 19 there's no need to rush with him.

Nylander has 9 points in 26 games and is a -7. This is on an amerks team that is really good right now 2nd in there division.

I like the draft and signing Vanek.

Trading Gorges for nothing makes sense, but even for a bag of pucks, Vegas doesn't have room. They've got better left handed defensemen making more money in the AHL and the press box. They'll be making three identical deals at the deadline.

Solid analysis. Plus, there's cap space and roster space if he earns a promotion, even without injuries.

I know they do but the reason why vegas does this is because the only veterans they have are England and Garrison, sbisa and stoner are on IR True Goerges will be a similar player to Garrison but Georges is more of a presence and a leader as well as a warrior that will block shots and be nasty, he's perfect for the playoffs, that's why I can see it.

Also if Vanek performs like he does every year he will be a trade chip at the deadline if the team isn't going to make the playoffs, if he's good and the team is good maybe the give him a retirement contract to finish his career in buffalo, that would be a feel good scenario.

Garrison is in the AHL, four million dollar contract and all. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/golden-knights-place-defenceman-jason-garrison-waivers/

The Golden Knights certainly have cap space to add a defenseman, but not a lefty. The seasons McNabb, Theodore, Merrill, Hunt, and Schmidt are having? They probably pick up Green and the Sedins, and then look to dump cap space if anyone will take a chance on Garrison, to try to find room for one or two more depth veterans. I'm thinking.... Pacioretty? Maybe Kane.... They're the top team in the league. They don't want a weak bottom four defenseman off of a draft lottery team with a huge contract.

either way it doesn't really matter what team you slot in there I think some will pick up georges for a 3rd or 4th could be anyone but I think he will be moved or falk or both.
