I could see Hutton being put in a place to succeed with Buffalo. their 1st pair LD is pretty much open.
Some of these trades aren’t half bad

Kane might be creepy and inconsistent, but someone outbids that 2nd, especially at half salary.

Vegas passes on Pouliot, but they'll take O'Reilly and Ristolainen if you're selling. They might have a couple of picks in this draft here, coming up.

Not "selling" either. Gotta overpay for risto at least.

Cgy doesn't need a backup we have rittich who is playing very well. Also Johnson is worth a late pick Deffinetley not 2 picks

Might be an undervalue, but I just don't see a team giving up their top prospect and a 1st, so Id rather take the prospect than the late round pick. And even if selling, risto is a piece a rebuilding team would want to build with, so definitely need to overpay.

Yeah, they probably just get Green for a 1st, then. What's O'Reilly worth these days, on that contract? Merrill, ReinharDt, and a 2nd?

And of course Washington is jonesing for a left handed defenseman like Scandella. Rumored to be shopping for McDonagh because he's publicly announced as available, but Scandella or Edler would fill the same minutes, about as well, more affordably, longer term, and without trading inside the division, so I think each would be a better fit. One logical trade package would start at 2nd pair rookie defenseman Christian Djoos (6th in scoring among rookie defensemen so far, but also has 52% corsi, and is +10), plus whatever.
