Quality>Quantity always in the eyes of the GM trading the quality, If this is the deal, I think Ottawa still wants more since the picks are late

I guarantee you Dorian is trying to work on a contract near 9.5 and under 10, but it won’t work, Karlsson wants 11+ mill

Melnyk won’t accept to sign a player for more than 9M$.

Your pieces aren't getting you Erik Karlsson it needs to be quality for quality, Not quantity for quality and no way is Karlsson taking $8.5 million to sign with Tampa when on the open market he will easily get between $11 million to $12 million per.

Well we all know of another player who took less to play in Tampa (Stamkos). And in real life people take less money because they are happy in certain jobs. Every one is different.

I imagine a trade involving Tampa has to start with Sergachev and Point

Why did Kucherov only take 4.5M$
Why did stamkos only take 8.5M$
And you don’t know if he is willing to accept more money or less money i m giving options here .Every human decide what is best for his life.
This website is filled with people who think they are in the right and every body is wrong. We are all sitting behing a computer doing this traded thinking that we know everything about everybody wich is not the case
So Plz accepet the fact that there’s different options rather than play Hockey in Ottawa.

In fairness, Kucherov took a bridge deal and Tampa is going to pay in a big way for it. After next season he becomes an RFA and he's going to get paid.

Over the last 3.5 years, Kucherov ranks the following among RW's

Goals - 2nd
Assist - 4th
Points - 2nd
P/GP - 2nd
PPG - 5th
PPP - 4th
S% - 3rd*

*min of 250 GP

I see Kucherov getting somewhere between Kane and Tarasenko money. Factor it the cap could be up around $80 to $82 million by the time he's an RFA. Right now I wouldn't be surprised to see him around the $9 million range (could hit just over $10 million). If he's willing to sign for less, more power to him.

Kucherov has said through his agent he won't try to break the bank. If Yzerman got Stamkos and Hedman for 8.5 and under 8, It is not unreasonable that Kuch will follow suit and also take 8.5 to stay on a winning team.

He could. Hell, Pasta took $6.66 million and that's well under his market value. It'll be interesting to see what happens and what his definition of "not breaking the bank" is.
