not many new ideas at all, same overpayment by teams not named the rangers. the canucks trade is new, a big cap hit for over three years and miller for a top 7 pick. canucks keep the pick and then have 8m to spend on a real player. miller is fine, but smith.

Smith probably is on Canucks top pair. He's better than Gudbranson. Miller replaces Sedin in Top 6. They have the cap to handle it with Sedin's coming off the books. Stepan got a top 7 pick being more expensive and 3 years older, Miller gets more. Can you tell me how this doesn't makes sense.

Also can you break down which trades are overpays and how? I just want to know what value people think players have.

don't you think the canucks would have picked smith up on waivers if he was really top 4? you're saying just because they have cap, they should pick up anybody that is not wanted by another team, no it still best to spend the money that creates value, not one that gives the rangers cap space. nash for all that and zuccarello do these players really improve their new teams? still might be too much for the leafs to give up. even with mcdonagh they aren't beating boston this year.

They couldn't afford to claim him because the Sedin's are under contract. This only makes sense on draft day. I don't think he's regressed at all really, just gets hung out to dry with Marc Staal as a partner. Should have a better idea of his value next year without AV as coach. I'm looking at the free-agent crop this year for d-men and not seeing much. I think if they have the cap room- which they will Jim Benning will take him.

Nash value is based on the Martin Hanzal trade and such. Nash has better scoring rates than Hanzal, but I'm not even asking for more than that. Rangers reported ask is 1st + 2nd + Top prospect, and it looks like teams are ready to offer that. Nash gets 1st + Honka, Vesey gets Ritchie, Holden + 6th gets 4th, if there any difference in value in any one of those, another evens it out.

I value Zuc more than Nash. Fabbri value about a 2nd rounder with his injury. Kyrou worth a high 1st, He would rank along with their top line in terms of points/60 and expected goal numbers. But the fact that I'm retaining next year and adding a pick puts it over the top. I feel this is a really conservative ask.

I think McD makes fight with Boston a competition. Toronto has best offense in hockey, this forces Polak to the bench. They keep Liljegren and Kapanen to build around with the big 3. I'd say they're favorites next year too with it but that's just me.

Your boy JT Miller. With his Points/60. He'd be after Boesner, Vanek, Henrik Sedin and Horvat. Which would make him 3rd on that list next year.

1: He's not my boy. I don't like the Rangers and I hate Vancouver!lol

2: Miller has had 1 season of over 50+ pts (56). So let it now be know that "consistent" means 1. once. or more than zero

C: He'll be 25 years old in a month and he's still not worth a possible lottery pick

Check the ice time bud. Pacioretty, Bergeron, Ehlers, Hoffman, Radulov. What do they have in common? They score points at the same exact rate as JT Miller.
