I think that's close to a fair deal. Remove the draft picks and no salary retain. But if MTL retain salary, St_louis must add a 1st.

Blues aren't going to give up their two best prospects (and 2 top 15 prospects in the entire NHL). Especially because Patch won't age well.

This will be a never-ending debate:

MTL fans: Patches is a great winger and there are a ton of comparable trades from past deadlines that suggest his return should be really good. If we don't get this much, then we aren't moving him.

STL fans: Thomas and Kyrou are almost NHL ready, easily project as top-6 players, and are brewing more excitement than any Blues prospects in recent history (save Tarasenko, but more hype than Berglund/Oshie/Perron) - trading them would be really, really dumb when you see how well other young players are faring in the league. And this year's team has been nowhere near as good as some people away from the team seem to think... adding Patches does not make us a serious contender - and if NSH / WPG overpays, maybe that would hurt us short-term but help us long-term.

with the recent blues play i doubt we give up our 2 top prospects. most likely ax guys off. Patch also has Stastny written all over him, good on former team then gets to St.louis and tails off to nothing
